Clean Up The Lake- Litter Data Analysis

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in Incline Village, NV (Lake Tahoe). We specialize in underwater litter removal via our SCUBA teams. We have removed over 50,000 lbs of small litter items from lakes in the Sierra Nevada in the last three years. Every single piece of litter is categorized based on the United Nations Environmental Programme's marine litter categorization standard. Each of the 83 different categories is weighed, counted, and recorded. We are looking for a scientist who can analyze these large data sets and help us find unique and exciting ways to share our data with local stakeholders and community members so we can begin to make a real difference with our efforts.
