Clean & Sync Two Excel Lists

I have two Excel workbooks, each with more than five clearly-labelled columns. One file pairs every name with assorted data, the other pairs names with contact information. I need them cross-checked so that only the records appearing in both files remain; any row whose name does not exist in the opposite file must be removed.

You may rely on whatever suits you best—VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, pivoting, or a quick Python or VBA routine—as long as the final spreadsheets are accurate and tidy:

• File A filtered to shared names only
• File B filtered to the same shared names
• (Optional) a combined master list if you find it faster to merge first

Names occasionally differ in spacing or case, so a quick normalisation step will avoid false mismatches. All original headers must stay intact, and no extra columns should appear in the cleaned versions.

Deliver the two cleaned XLSX files (plus any script you wrote, if applicable). A brief note on the method you used will help me replicate it next time. I’m hoping for a rapid turnaround—once I verify that both files hold the exact same set of names, the job is done.
