Blood Alcohol Concentration Data Analysis
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I need a detailed statistical analysis on a dataset of breath alcohol concentration (BAC) readings collected from a Soberlink device. There are two positive readings I'd like to examine in detail.
Goal:
Quantify the likelihood that the two positive readings could result from random error other than true alcohol consumption. The analysis needs to focus on the statistical reliability of the readings and the overall testing pattern.
Requirements:
- review and analyze the BAC data (values, timestamps, PASS/FAIL status)
- determine statistical probably of >2 false positives based on device specificity or known error rates
- identify any patterns or anomalies in timing or magnitude of readings
- provide 1-2 visuals (timeline or scatter plot) and a short, plain-language summary (1-2 pages)
Ideal Background:
- experience with applied statistics, data quality, or signal analysis
- familiarity with measurement error, reliability, analysis, or probabilistic modeling
- ability to interpret and present data clearly for a non-technical audience
