Assistant Required for Market Research
Budget: ₹100 – ₹400 INR
I’m looking for a detail-oriented virtual assistant to gather and organise market intelligence within the technology sector. The core of the job is online research: finding reliable data, verifying sources, and presenting the information in a clear, well-structured format that I can use to guide product and strategy decisions.
Here’s what the work will generally involve:
• Sourcing up-to-date articles, white papers, industry reports and statistics.
• Summarising key points and citing every source.
• Building a spreadsheet that captures company names, product lines, pricing (where public), funding rounds, partnerships and any standout market moves.
• Delivering a concise written brief that highlights opportunities, threats, and notable shifts in consumer or enterprise demand.
Most of the information can be gathered with public tools such as Statista, Crunchbase, Gartner, CB Insights, Google Scholar and advanced search operators, but feel free to recommend additional databases if you already have access.
Acceptance criteria
• All data must be no older than 18 months unless it’s clearly marked as historical.
• Every data point includes a working URL or document reference.
• Spreadsheet columns are consistent and filterable.
• The summary brief is under three pages and written in plain English.
If you have prior experience compiling tech-industry research, please mention a project or two in your proposal and tell me which tools you prefer. Let’s get started as soon as you’re ready—I’d like the first batch of findings within one week of contract award.
