Archaeological Feature Verification and Expert Review
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have spent months mapping what appears to be a 60-kilometre chain of rock formations that I believe are man-made rather than the product of natural erosion. Before I take the next step with local authorities, I need a seasoned archaeologist or geoarchaeologist to give my findings a quick but informed sanity check.
What I’m providing
• A relational database that holds all coordinates, photographs, stratigraphic notes, and field logs.
• A summary of the basic statistical analysis I have already run on orientation, spacing, and dimensional patterns.
What I need from you
• A concise written assessment (2–3 pages is fine) confirming whether my current evidence plausibly supports a human origin.
• Clear, point-by-point feedback on my data collection methodology and the statistical approach I used.
• Advice on any obvious additional tests or observations that would strengthen the case, keeping in mind limited resources.
Scope is intentionally focused—desk-based review and professional opinion only, no on-site work or laboratory testing at this stage. If your report highlights critical gaps, I may open a follow-on project for deeper analysis.
If you have direct experience distinguishing anthropogenic rock alignments from erosion features, especially through database-driven analysis, your insights will be invaluable.
