Scope of work
• Shape a testable hypothesis about feeding habits, grounded in current animal-science literature.
• Recommend the most suitable species or strain, sample size, and housing requirements to achieve statistical power without compromising welfare.
• Map out the full protocol—timing, environmental controls, feeding regimes, observation schedules, and measurable endpoints.
• Detail the data-collection tools (e.g., ethograms, video tracking, RFID feeders) and suggest practical ways to minimize observer bias.
• Provide a concise plan for statistical analysis so that, once the data are collected, I can move straight into interpretation.
• Flag any ethical or regulatory considerations that must be addressed before the study begins.
I will supply any background papers I have gathered; you can draw on additional peer-reviewed sources as needed. The final deliverable should be a well-structured document (Word or PDF) that I can submit to both an ethics committee and potential funding bodies, along with any supporting schematics or Excel/CSV templates for data logging.
