Machine Learning / AI for predictive matchup based on known stats. Coaching based on game and self reporting performance.

Job ID: 36747359

Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

We are developing an app that will score pool, billiard, and golf. Users meet live and play in real-world games. The players use the app to keep score and be ranked in the IPL (International Players League). We have our own proprietary ranking system that is gathering data on each player. The app offers Self Reporting. A player can record their practice unofficial match and depending on a players performance within Self Reporting and their official IPL ranking a "smart algorithm" could predict suggestions on who to play next and in what sport that will most likely raise their ranking with the IPL.
The system we are creating now is coded in DART. We do not have sample data. We need someone to work with our team and provide the expertise and execution of such a system. It needs to work hand in hand with the Ranking system and what the app is recording in official play as well as Self Reporting.

The app we have stores normal game-play activity. The idea was to Add a Self Reporting feature. Only for pool at this time.
Reason: It is an option for a user to play themselves and record their shots in a more detailed description path. It does not count toward their ranking.

In order to use Self Reporting you can either invite someone to record your match of not play a match and just by yourself. Self Reporting is just collecting what you tell it. It's not trying to make predictions. This is very similar to the referee option however the Self-Reporting in-game page will have different options than the refs. The Self-Reporting page will be tailored for recording a player's sequence of events and results. Page mockup coming.

What does this allow us to do: Using some AI machine learning the app could make suggestions on who to play next that will likely give them a win and improve their ranking. Thinking Aloud - Which player at which game with which rules do I have the best chance of improving my game ranking and MSR? It gives us loads of player data for upcoming AR applications. It adds another on-ramp to a subscriber to the app with the Self Reporting function. Think of all those APA players standing around watching the game of pool when someone could be tracking their teammates' performance for faster review later. Using some AI machine learning the app could make suggestions on practice drills, rule reminders, and strategy differences.

We have someone working on the ranking system. Would you like to get in touch with them to make sure we are on the same page?

Is the Self Reporting feature making sense? I'm a huge fan of the idea for several reasons. It adds more possible users to the app while raising its' professionalism. It entices greater interaction with the app by coaching users on a career strategy. It gives us the flash to advertise AI and gather data for future projects. By combining the data from gameplay, ranking system, and Self Reporting we would hold the upper hand on being the authority on players' ability and precision scoring.

Let me know what the plan would be to implement this. Im working on the Self Reporting mock-up. As always. open to your suggestions.
