We are using the Chewie video player package (https://pub.dev/packages/chewie) and it's working great for cropping vertical videos within a container (and not distorting the aspect ratio - wee vertical.mp4)
But we need to get it working with horizontal videos (see horizontal.mp4 to see the issue)
