Realistic Character Sheets Illustrator Needed
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
Seeking a traditional and AI-savvy illustrator to create a series of high quality character sheets.
Project Description
Character Sheets should include full body turnarounds (front, side, back,), head views, expressions, and detail insets where applicable. Final Illustrations should in a realistic, highly detailed style (ex. Ed Benes, Jim Lee). Note: artist isn’t necessarily expected to be able to illustrate in that style, but be able to deliver final materials accordingly.
Designs and Materials
Reference samples for three characters are in the creative brief. All characters have been designed and detailed descriptions and backstories have been written. Reference materials for the full set will be provided upon project assignment.
We are developing a house style for all characters across a number of projects. As such, I will be looking to partner with same artist for additional assignments.
Required Experience:
Demonstrable experience in Character Illustration. Portfolio should showcase illustration skills (traditional, AI, and/or hybrid), particularly in creating detailed character sheets.
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Photoshop
Stable Diffusion (Automatic 1111 and/or ComfyUI)
Additional Preferred Skills:
DALL-E 3 (note: program has proven capable of yielding character models in desired style, however lacks consistency)
Midjourney (note: program version 6.0 has not been able to generate character models in desired style, however this may change with the upcoming release)
Pricing:
First assignment will consist of twelve (12) character sheets. Submitted quotes should be on a PER CHARACTER BASIS (a range can be provided to factor in things such as unique character/creature designs or complex costumes. This will enable us to both budget for future assignments or cleanly separate from the project should the character sheets not meet expectations.
As these are copyrighted characters, a signed NDA will be required prior to project commencement.
