The goal is to shape this raw material into an inspirational, uplifting story that resonates with documentary film buffs while remaining cinematic enough for YouTube and social platforms.
What I need from you is a full editorial pass that establishes clear narrative flow, purposeful pacing, and an emotional arc. Clean cuts, thoughtful B-roll placement, and seamless transitions should guide viewers through each moment rather than distract them. Subtle color correction or basic grading must keep the look natural yet polished, and the soundtrack—music, ambience, and light effects—should sync intuitively with on-screen beats to heighten the sense of discovery without overpowering it.
I typically work in Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, so project files in either environment are welcome. An eye for documentary detail, familiarity with travel storytelling, and a sensitivity to tone shifts—from reflective voice-over to sweeping landscape shots—will be crucial.
Deliverables:
• long-form master (approx. 10–15 min) ready for YouTube in 4K
• Two short vertical cut-downs (60–90 sec) optimized for TikTok/Reels
