Customs Warehouse Feasibility Study (Support with GTS Data Analysis)

Description:
I am looking for an experienced international trade and customs professional to help determine whether a customs warehouse would be financially beneficial for a site in Germany.

The project will involve working with import/export data from SAP GTS. At this stage, I will also need guidance on:

Which data fields/reports are most relevant to extract from GTS.

How to structure the information (mainly SKUs and product numbers) for feasibility assessment.

Interpreting the flows to calculate potential duty savings or deferments.

The project scope includes:

Advising on and reviewing the relevant GTS data.

Supporting me via screen-sharing sessions (e.g. Teams/Zoom) to ensure the correct reports are pulled.

Analysing the data to assess whether a customs warehouse would provide measurable savings or operational benefits.

Providing a written feasibility report and recommendations.

Requirements:

Demonstrated expertise in international trade, customs regimes, and duty management.

Familiarity with SAP GTS (or equivalent trade management systems).

Strong data analysis skills (Excel, pivot tables, financial modelling).

Experience with customs warehousing, bonded warehouses, FTZs, or inward processing.

Ability to work discreetly and collaboratively, with clear explanations.

Deliverables:

Guidance on relevant GTS data extracts.

Analysis of import/export flows and duty exposure.

Feasibility report with financial impact assessment and recommendations.

Confidentiality:
An NDA will need to be signed prior to sharing any data or system access.

Timeline:
To be completed within 3–4 weeks of engagement.
