Ziroom Rental & Settling Assistance
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m relocating to China for a natural-science research project and need a native Chinese speaker who can take care of two things before and immediately after my arrival:
First, please secure a clean, reasonably priced room through Ziroom that suits a single male tenant. I’ll rely on you to handle the entire booking process in Chinese—viewing listings online or in person, confirming availability, negotiating terms and fees, and sending me photos or video so I can give final approval. Once the lease is accepted, I’ll need the contract translated into English so I understand every clause.
Second, I’d like friendly, on-the-ground support as I settle in. Ideally you can meet me at the airport, bring me to the apartment, translate during check-in, and register me with the local police . Over the first couple of days I’ll also ask you to point out essential services in the neighbourhood, set me up with a local SIM, and find a reliable bottled-water delivery service. General language help when I open bank or utility accounts, or whenever paperwork arises, will be highly valued.
Deliverables
• Confirmed Ziroom booking with signed lease and English translation
• Photo / video walkthrough of the room prior to my arrival
• Airport pick-up and transfer to the apartment (if your schedule allows)
• Two days of in-person orientation and on-call language support for necessities (mobile phone, water delivery, groceries, basic utilities)
