Morning Dispatcher & 1-2 hours on saturday invoicing
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Each weekday I need someone to jump on the phone first thing about 60-70 minutes before each job starts (2-4 jobs) to confirm there is no cancellation text, confirm the job is good especially if rain is present. If rain is present and job is still good to go coordinate with drivers to make sure they show up and arrive on time. if cancelled notify the drivers through call or text. It will be about 8 trucks day depending on customers orders. we will try to cover more if bigger orders are needed and like to tell the customer we can. At that point i have a subcontractor list after our 8 trucks are covered. We operate dump trucks and schedule always set up day before. Once the morning routing is set, the rest of the shift is mostly quiet. You will get orders for trucks for the following day around 10-11 am that morning from most customers and some around 2-3 pm. Sometimes additional texts come in for orders later in the day. Sometimes an occasional call for a job change that same day that needs to be urgently answered and passed to the driver. It is a very light job with not excessive calling and texts.
Here’s what the role covers:
• If you’ve dispatched trucks before, great. If not, but you’re organized, reliable, and communicative I’m happy to train you. Let me know your timezone and any prior experience coordinating schedules or handling customer questions, and we can get rolling.
- i am eastern time and usually be aware of texts around 6:00am
-Job texts are basically copy and paste from the customers cell texts they call if they need an urgent change or last minute order. just respond prompty okay or 10-4.
-base of 8 trucks we want to keep busy.
-Accounting* i will upload tickets through a scanner and email it to you. I have a rate sheet and excel sheet with date, ticket, number, hours, total hours, and total and a rate for each customer. Just keep the customers seperate and copy and paste the excel sheet into the word doc that has that customers company details and email the tickets and invoice to the customer. Very easy and fast to put together. Just double check math is correct on each ticket -start time-end time + 1 hour travel if its inccorect addtion let me know and i will advice
