Bilingual Medical Support CSR - Spanish/English
Budget: $4 – $8 USD
I need help managing the daily flow of phone calls and emails that come into our home-care agency. Most contacts are patients or family members looking for clear explanations of our home-care and supportive-care programs, but you will also speak with insurance representatives and the occasional referring physician’s office. Every conversation has to be handled in both English and Spanish with the same warmth, patience, and professionalism.
Typical tasks include answering inbound calls, placing follow-up or reminder calls, and replying to or sending concise emails that document the conversation. You will clarify program benefits, confirm eligibility with insurers, gather missing documentation, and note everything in our HIPAA-compliant CRM so our clinical team can pick up right where you leave off. Empathy is crucial—many callers are under stress—so your tone should reassure them while still moving the call forward efficiently.
Please be comfortable:
• Switching seamlessly between English and Spanish mid-call when needed
• Explaining insurance terminology in plain language
• Keeping accurate, time-stamped notes in our system after every interaction
I will provide call-handling guidelines, FAQ sheets, and log-in credentials. A quiet workspace, reliable internet, and a good headset are required on your side. Once we get started I’ll schedule a short onboarding session, then expect you to work independently and send a brief end-of-day report summarizing call volume, common issues, and any items that need escalation.
If you are fluent in both languages, naturally empathetic, and already comfortable speaking with patients and insurers, I’d love to hear how soon you can start.
