Barge Winter Checks in Sillery
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
My péniche is moored in the small marina at Sillery, just outside Reims, and I will be abroad for the winter. I need a reliable person who can visit the boat, confirm that the shore-power cable is firmly connected to the pedestal, and, if the onboard Wi-Fi unit has gone offline, give it a quick reset. While you are on board we’ll have a short video call so I can guide you and see everything in real time.
No marine expertise is required—just common sense, the ability to follow simple instructions, and clear spoken English (my French is very limited). The first visit is needed soon, and I may ask for one or two follow-up visits over the colder months, depending on how things look.
Deliverables for each visit:
• Visual and physical check of the shore-power cable and pedestal connection
• Live video call with me (WhatsApp or similar)
• Power-cycle / reset the Wi-Fi device if I request it during the call
If you live close enough to drop by easily and are comfortable using a smartphone for video chat, I’d love to hear from you.
