PHP/MySQL Social Media Fix

Job ID: 39828889

Budget: $25 – $50 USD

I own an established social-media website powered by PHP and a MySQL database. Right after completing a $13+ transaction on the site, the system unexpectedly logged me out. That points to a flaw somewhere in the backend flow—most likely session handling or the way the payment callback touches the database.

I need a PHP developer who is comfortable digging into mature codebases, tracing queries, and tightening up the server-side logic. Your first objective is simple: reproduce the logout issue, locate the root cause, and patch it so payments complete without terminating the user session. While you’re inside, please review the broader backend for any related stability problems; I’d like this fix to be future-proof.

Key environment details
• Language / stack: Core PHP (no framework), MySQL 5.7
• Live production server with full SSH and phpMyAdmin access
• Payment module is custom but leans on standard cURL calls

Deliverable
A patched set of PHP files and any accompanying SQL adjustments, along with a brief change log so I can follow what was modified.

I’m ready to provide full code access the moment we start.
