Casino Addiction Awareness Website
Budget: $50 – $500 USD
I’m putting together a small, friendly-toned site that helps Swiss players understand—and hopefully avoid—casino addiction. The build is straightforward: three responsive pages, a light-hearted yet responsible design, and a couple of interactive elements powerful enough to make the risks clear.
Page 1 – Home
A concise “who we are” introduction, our mission, and a call-out to the resources we offer. The overall look should feel approachable rather than stern, so I’ll rely on you to propose a colour palette and basic branding (logo, fonts, icon set) that keeps the mood warm without trivialising the problem. Although the checkbox wording I ticked focused on “Graphs of amount spent…”, those charts actually belong on Page 2; the homepage itself can lean on illustrations or other assets that fit addiction prevention—open to your ideas here.
Page 2 – Reality Check
This section hosts two simple but impactful visualisations:
• Total yearly spend in Swiss casinos
• Estimated number of Swiss gambling addicts
Clean, readable charts (Chart.js, D3, or a comparable library) are fine as long as they remain mobile friendly and can be updated easily with fresh data later on.
Page 3 – Game Simulations
Blackjack, Roulette, and a Slot Machine, each running purely in-browser with no real money involved. Visitors start with 500 virtual credits; stakes range 5–50. After 300 cumulative credits are wagered, a red warning banner pops up summarising current gains/losses to underline the real-world cost these numbers might represent. Clear code comments and a modular structure are a must so I can tweak messages or limits down the road.
Key tech is up to you—HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (vanilla or a lightweight framework), and any charting library you prefer—as long as everything remains fast and responsive.
Hand-off
Deliver the full source (HTML, CSS, JS, graphics), brief style guide with the colours/typography you selected, and a quick read-me for updating figures or tweaking bet limits. If something in the brief feels unclear, flag it early so we keep momentum.
