Website Job Brief: Add a Careers Page
Overview
I need a single new Careers page added to an existing website (hosted on WordPress was built on adobe). All copy and images will be supplied — this job is about building and integrating the page, not writing content.
Background
The site is a self-hosted WordPress install, currently running WordPress 7.0, with Yoast SEO installed and a fairly conventional theme structure (standard widgetized footer, block-editor content areas). The new page needs to slot into this existing setup — same theme, same navigation system, same visual style — rather than introduce a new design language or a separate platform.
Scope of Work
Build one new page: Careers
Add it to the existing site navigation (menu placement to be confirmed — likely alongside "About" / "Get in Touch")
Lay out the page using the site's existing block editor / page-builder setup so it visually matches the rest of the site (fonts, colours, spacing, header/footer)
Insert content I provide (text + images — see Content below)
Set up basic on-page SEO for the new page (title tag, meta description) consistent with how Yoast is already configured sitewide
Make sure the page is mobile-responsive, matching the responsiveness of existing pages
Light QA: check links, check the page renders correctly across desktop/mobile before handover
Out of scope: copywriting, photography/image sourcing, redesign of the existing site, work on any page other than this one.
Content
I will provide:
Final page copy
Any images/logos needed
Any specific structure I want (e.g. intro text, list of open roles, application instructions)
This will be shared once the contractor is confirmed.
Key Requirement: Easy to Edit Afterwards
This is important: once built, I need to be able to update this page myself — adding/removing job listings, editing text, swapping images — without needing a developer each time. There is scope that I will rely on your expertise from time to timee. Please build it using native WordPress blocks/editor functionality (not custom code or a one-off template) so it's editable through the standard WordPress admin interface. If you'd usually solve this a different way, let me know your approach before starting.
Access
I can provide limited WordPress access only — an admin or editor-level login scoped to content/pages. I won't be providing hosting, server, FTP, or database access. Access will be granted once we agree scope and revoked after sign-off, unless ongoing maintenance is separately agreed.
Timeline
Quick turnaround required — please quote your realistic delivery time from the point access and content are handed over (e.g. "X business days"). Let me know upfront if anything in the scope above would meaningfully extend that.
