Shopify Development Team
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
Shopify Development Team (1/2 Developer (with heavy AI use) + Designer) for CRO Agency Projects
Our Problem:
We’ve worked with many remote and local developers before.
The recurring problem: design accuracy and consistency.
Tasks were often marked “done,” but when reviewed:
Fonts were slightly off-size.
Button colors didn’t match exactly.
Margins or spacing were inconsistent.
Visuals didn’t fully align with Figma or the live store aesthetic.
Even when functionality worked, the design was off by 5–10%, and in the end it still needs to be fixed and this always takes up so much time.
Its marked as done -> I go inside review and find a mistake -> dev makes the change-> I have to go back to check -> most of the time I had to check 6 to 7 times before a tasked was really ready to be pushed live. This makes a 1 hour quick fix to an 4 hour horror task which ruins the whole day.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a two-person team (or small studio) with the following roles:
1. Front-End Shopify Developer
Mastery of Shopify Liquid, CSS, JavaScript, JSON templates, and theme customization
Can build custom sections, metafield-driven layouts, and app integrations
Understands responsive design and ensures all layouts look perfect on desktop, tablet, and mobile
Pays obsessive attention to spacing, typography, and brand consistency
Familiar with performance optimization (lazy loading, defer scripts, GTmetrix audits)
2. UI/UX Designer (Figma)
Can translate concepts or references into Figma mockups.
Knows how to prepare specs for developers (spacing, font sizes, color codes)
Understands e-commerce design principles and Shopify constraints
Focuses on consistency, and brand aesthetics
Type of Projects
Our projects range from tiny daily tasks to large-scale builds:
Day-to-Day Tasks (5–60 min fixes)
Button alignment, spacing, or responsive layout issues
Broken elements after app installs or CSS overrides
Quick fixes like “this button moved down,” “this image overlaps,” “this broke on mobile,” etc.
Mid-Size Projects (custom logic)
Building upsell systems, dynamic gift logic, threshold offers
Custom modals, dynamic recommendations, cart drawers, etc.
Large Projects (complete builds)
Full landing pages, product pages, and store rebuilds
Design-heavy, CSS-intensive layouts from Figma
Code-heavy logic for A/B test variants, theme migrations, or app integrations
You’ll need the ability to move seamlessly from tiny visual fixes to complex conditional logic builds — depending on project needs.
Workflow
We provide task details or reference examples.
The Figma designer creates a mockup or adjusts existing ones for approval.
The developer implements exactly according to design and specifications.
We review for both functionality and pixel perfection before client delivery.
You’ll collaborate with our agency team via Slack and Trello for ongoing tasks and QA.
Budget & Engagement
We don't pay per hour, it will be a fixed agreed on amount. At the moment we have 15 clients, split between two developers. The work is split 75/25, we can only handle this workload because of the massive use of AI. One client usually takes up 5-6hours in dev per week.
Please give us 2 estimates:
Estimate 1: single client 5-6 hours dev time a week
Estimate 2: Full time, handling every task for every client, about 15 clients at the moment
What We Expect
Pixel-perfect match between Figma and live site
Proper use of color, font sizes, and responsive scaling
English (written) for Slack communication
About Us
We’re a conversion rate optimization (CRO) agency working exclusively with Shopify e-commerce stores.
We handle everything from daily store maintenance to high-impact A/B testing and custom feature development.
We already have deep in-house knowledge of Shopify front-end performance — but we need a dedicated external team that can deliver pixel-perfect, fast, and reliable work.
