Restore WordPress Blog Access

Job ID: 40530071

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I’m locked out of my own WordPress publishing flow. When I log in, the site behaves as though I’m just another subscriber: there’s no editor, no “Add New Post” button—nothing. From my iPad I can still type a title, but the body of each blog never appears online.

I’ve tried signing in on other devices and browsers; the symptoms change slightly but the core problem remains. I don’t even know whether my admin dashboard is still attached to my profile, and I’m unsure how to confirm if themes or plugins are current. To complicate things, the account was originally created under an email address I no longer control, so any password-reset or ownership emails vanish into that dead inbox.

Here’s what I need:
• Re-establish full admin privileges on the correct user so I can create, edit, and publish posts from both desktop and iPad.
• Diagnose and eliminate whatever is blocking the content area in the editor.
• Bring core, theme, and plugins up to date (without breaking anything) and show me where to check this myself next time.
• If the orphaned email is tied to ownership, migrate everything to my current address and confirm future recovery options work.

Please be comfortable with WordPress role management, database and phpMyAdmin tweaks if necessary, and troubleshooting Gutenberg or classic editor issues. A quick Zoom or screen-share hand-off at the end would be ideal so I can see it all working before we wrap up.
