Make new XFCE gtk3 theme from four gtk2 themes

Job ID: 37835484

Budget: €250 – €750 EUR

# (part 1)

I currently use theme-parts from four different gtk2 themes in XFCE.
With AlmaLinux 8.x it works just fine but with AlmaLinux 9.x stuff
are starting to partly not work like it should.

I currently use these:

Filepath Found where in XFCE settings
-------------------------------- ----------------------------
/usr/share/themes/Adwaita Appearance -> Style
/usr/share/icons/elementary-xfce Appearance -> Icons
/usr/share/themes/Crux Window Manager -> Style
/usr/share/icons/Bluecurve Mouse and Touchpad -> Theme

Adwaita just works partly, and you cant select it and doesnt show up
in XFCE settings. I managed to make it show up but then firefox complains
very loadly about deprecated stuff and spams the log so fast that it gets
ratelimited. I guess Adwaita is deprecated for sure :)

In these themes there is workarounds and stuff that arent used anymore,
stuff that I dont use. I want to convert the parts that I use in these
gtk2 themes to gtk3 and have them written in a such way that there is a
high probability that will work for many years to come. If jpg needs
to be converted to png then to that, whatever its needed to to make
this theme to last 1000 years :)

Desktop -> Background should have style none.
Apply to all workspaces.
Vertical Gradient with color:
color 1: #729FCF
color 2: #204A87

The definition of done is when this new XFCE theme works and looks like
in did on AlmaLinux 8.x but on AlmaLinux 9.x instead.

xfce-petrol-theme.tar.gz is the files that I use copied from AlmaLinux 8.
fdc-screenshot-2024-03-03.png is an example screenshot of how my current
theme look like.

# (part 2)

A part 2 of this would be figure out a catchy name for my new XFCE theme
that would make people to install and use this theme.

To get this theme included in so many Linux/Unix dist as possible.
Spread and uploaded to many XFCE/(if possible gtk3) theme sites.
Simply to do marketing for my theme.

The person doing part 2 doesnt have to be same as doing part 1.
Its actually different skills that are needed in part 1 and part 2.

My working name for this theme is "XFCE Petrol Theme" but that can be
changed if there is a better suggestion.

My request here at freelancer is only for part 1 right now.
Im just giving the information about my future plans.
Part 2 will be created as a separate request here.
