I’m looking for an experienced web designer + WordPress developer to build a clean, modern blog and podcast website using a layout direction called the Journey Hub style. This is a content‑focused, minimalist design with an adventure/sailing aesthetic.
The site should feel modern, fast, and visually clean — not a cluttered template install. I want a custom or lightweight WordPress theme (no heavy page builders like Elementor, Divi, or WPBakery).
Homepage Requirements:
• Full‑width hero image
• Simple top navigation
• Latest blog posts displayed in a clean grid
• Clear sections for Blog, Podcast, and About the Journey
• Mobile‑first responsive layout
• Fast loading and SEO‑friendly structure
Content Organization:
• Blog posts organized by categories (Sailing, Training, Gear, Reflections, etc.)
• Dedicated Podcast section with a consistent episode template
• About page template for my personal journey
Features Needed:
• Native WordPress comment system
• Social media icons + share buttons
• Email subscription form (Mailchimp or ConvertKit)
