Homestead Website Redesign & Launch

Job ID: 39959296

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m returning to Freelancer to breathe new life into the website I created years ago on Homestead Sitebuilder. The goal this time is simple: refresh the look, streamline the experience, and get it live so I can proudly share it with friends, family, and future visitors.

Because the site still sits inside Homestead, I need support with both design and functionality. That means modern visuals, mobile-friendly layouts, tidy navigation, and any behind-the-scenes tweaks—HTML, CSS, scripts, or Homestead-specific settings—that make updates painless for someone who isn’t a coder.

Here’s what a successful hand-off looks like for me:
• A polished, responsive design that feels current yet true to my content
• Smooth page flow, clear calls-to-action, and fast load times
• All existing pages and media migrated or refreshed without data loss
• Guidance on using Homestead’s editor so I can add or revise content on my own
• Final testing and a push to “Published,” proving the world can reach the site without glitches

If you know your way around Homestead (or can work deftly with its HTML/CSS output) and enjoy turning dated sites into something vibrant and user-friendly, I’d love your help.
Also, since I created my site in 2004 - Homestead states that my website name belongs to me...but the content and graphics belong to them. I really don't want to lose any of my pages, since I've worked so hard in recreating it to where it is now. And maybe transfer my site to maybe Wordpress?
