Google Inter Font Integration

I want the Inter typeface, weights 300, 400, 600, 700 and 800, correctly loaded from Google Fonts on a small static HTML / CSS site. The preferred approach is the standard <link> tag placed in the document head, not @import or self-hosting.

All I need back is a clean snippet I can drop into the head section plus the accompanying CSS that calls the family and weight variants, with sensible fall-back fonts in the stack. Please also verify that the call
