About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Full-Stack Shopify Developer to build an innovative e-commerce MVP. The project involves creating a customized shopping platform that integrates AI technology, dynamic product customization, advanced payment options, and immersive product visualization. With ability and passion to work on newer features for the Platform and/or build MVPs for newer Product lines, collaborating with senior team.

What you will be working on?

You will be developing a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for a custom e-commerce platform that enables customers to design and purchase personalized products, with Daily Stand-ups and Weekly Updates. The platform leverages advanced technologies to provide a seamless and innovative shopping experience. You will work closely with senior management and the CEO, contributing to bringing the vision to life with your knowledge and technical expertise. If converted to a full-time position, you will be directly reporting to the CEO while collaborating closely with the senior executives. Key Features of the MVP: The project will be built on the Shopify platform, leveraging its robust e-commerce capabilities and ecosystem. The developer will work on integrating third-party APIs, customizing Shopify themes, and ensuring a smooth and engaging user experience.



1. AI-Powered Design Interface: Embed AI and Implement an interactive frontend where customers can create custom designs using an AI image generation API.
2. Custom Order Placement: Enable customers to add their custom-designed products to the shopping cart, capturing all customization details.
3. Dynamic Pricing: Implement pricing adjustments based on the custom features selected by the customer.
4. Order Tracking and Customer Engagement: Customize order status pages and set up email notifications to keep customers informed about their order progress.
5. User Account Management: Allow customers to create accounts to manage their orders and personal information.
6. Cryptocurrency Payment Integration: Enable payment options using select cryptocurrencies through established payment gateways.



Key Responsibilities: Implement and build the MVP

1. AI Integration:
• Implement an AI-powered design interface using an AI image generation API (e.g., OpenAI’s DALL·E).
• Develop frontend components to allow customers to create and view custom product designs.

2. Frontend Development:
• Customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create an engaging and user-friendly interface.
• Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.

3. Backend Development:
• Develop custom functionalities to handle custom product creation, dynamic pricing, and data storage.
• Integrate third-party APIs for AI image generation and payment processing.
• Implement secure data handling practices for customer information and custom designs.

4. Cart and Checkout Customization:
• Enable seamless addition of custom-designed products to the cart, capturing all customization details.
• Implement dynamic pricing adjustments based on selected custom features.

5. User Account Management:
• Implement and customize customer accounts within Shopify.
• Ensure customers can manage their orders and personal information effectively.

6. Payment Gateway Integration:
• Integrate cryptocurrency payment options using established payment gateways (e.g., Coinbase Commerce, BitPay).
• Ensure secure and compliant processing of cryptocurrency transactions.

7. Order Tracking and Notifications:
• Customize order status pages to enhance customer engagement.
• Set up email notifications to keep customers informed about their order progress.

8. Testing and Optimization:
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure functionality across different devices and browsers.
• Optimize site performance and implement security best practices.

9. Documentation:
• Maintain clear and detailed documentation of the codebase, APIs used, and any custom solutions implemented.
• Provide instructions for any manual processes required during the MVP phase.



Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills:

• Shopify Development:
Extensive experience with the Shopify platform, including theme customization and app development.
Proficiency in Liquid templating language.
• Frontend Technologies:
Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
Experience with frontend frameworks (e.g., React.js is a plus but not mandatory).
• Backend Development:
Proficiency in Node.js or Python for server-side scripting and API integration.
Experience with Shopify APIs and building custom functionalities.
• API Integration:
Proven experience integrating third-party APIs, particularly in the context of e-commerce platforms.
Familiarity with AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI) is highly desirable.
• Payment Gateways:
Knowledge of integrating standard payment gateways.
Experience with cryptocurrency payment integrations is a strong advantage.
• 3D/AR Technologies:
Familiarity with integrating 3D models and AR features into web platforms.
Experience with formats like GLB and USDZ.
• Version Control:
Proficiency with Git for code management and collaboration.

• Good to Haves: (for Full-Time Conversion)
Familiarity and experience with PHP
Experience leveraging AI tools in workflow
Experience working on Distributed Ledgers (e.g. Blockchains)



Experience

1. Education:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

2. Professional Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in web development.
• Demonstrated experience with Shopify development projects.
• Previous work involving AI integrations or custom e-commerce solutions is a plus.

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
