Build a joomla blog website
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I'm looking for someone to help me put together a joomla website (including customizing templates).
Here's what I have now with basic joomla running: http://knowledgepollinator.net/
The idea is a blog site with a nice clean look and main menu links to categories but also categories on the side, and a mailing list, rss, and donation link at the bottom. I'm able to modify basic html and javascript but don't yet have experience with any javascript or CMS frameworks, and I liked what I heard about joomla so I started there and I was able to get the hosting and basic setup working.

really attracted to the way https://www.julian.com/blog has set up his blog page on his website. I like the simplicity of the boxes and then one can choose a box and read blog posts according to the subject matter. I also like how he has the choices for his website up in the corner and the title of his website (his name) up at the top with a line to section it off from the boxes below.
I honestly don't like his home page layout. There are other parts of his site that I like, and some that I don't. The simplicity of the page for his blog is something I am looking to emulate. I want simplicity, but also elegantly so and I think this page does a good job of it.
