Build me a Search Results Page on Shopify.
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
We are a tire retailer operating on the Shopify platform with a website at www.thetiredealer.com. We currently use the Smart Search Bar & Filters application by Searchanise, but we are looking to replace it with a custom solution. We require an experienced Shopify developer to create a search results page that meets the following requirements:
1. Display search results on the search page when users search through the search bar or our search widget tool.
2. Ensure the search results page is mobile and desktop friendly.
3. Present search results in a clean, modern list format that includes:
- Product image
- Title
- SKU
- A portion of the description
- Price
- Custom labels based on product tags (e.g., Free Shipping, In Stock, Deal)
4. Implement a filter section that allows users to apply filters based on:
- Collections or brand
- Product type
- Price
- Discounts
- Free shipping
- Other filterable information based on product tags/metafields
5. Deliver source code in a format compatible with our requirements, enabling our development team to continue working on it in the future.
6.
SKILLS NEEDED:
Liquid: Shopify's templating language, used to load dynamic content and create the structure of the page. Liquid is essential for working with Shopify themes and creating the custom search results layout.
HTML/CSS: These are the standard markup and styling languages for creating web pages. You will need to use HTML to structure the content of the search results page and CSS to style it according to your design preferences.
JavaScript/jQuery: JavaScript is necessary for adding interactivity to the search results page, such as filtering and sorting functionality. jQuery is a popular JavaScript library that can simplify the process of working with JavaScript, especially when it comes to handling DOM manipulation and AJAX requests.
JSON (JavaScript Object Notation): JSON is a lightweight data interchange format that you may need to use when working with Shopify's APIs or sending/receiving data between the frontend and backend of your application.
Knowledge of Shopify APIs: Depending on your project's requirements, you may need to interact with Shopify's APIs (REST or GraphQL) to fetch data, such as product or collection information, for your custom search results page.
Please provide your proposal with a timeline, cost estimate, and examples of similar projects you've completed. We look forward to reviewing your application and working with the best candidate to bring this custom search functionality to our online store.
