Automated Academic Timetable Management Web App
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I need a web-based application that takes the pain out of building university timetables. The core engine must generate completely clash-free schedules the moment I enter faculty availability and the specific subject requirements; the system should be flexible enough for us to layer in room capacity later, but it is not part of this first milestone.
Three distinct roles will use the platform—Admin, Faculty, and Students—each with their own dashboards and permissions. From the Admin side I should be able to manage classes and subjects, departments, and individual time slots in real time, with every change instantly reflected for everyone else. Faculty must log in and immediately see their assigned lectures and current workload, while students get a clean, personalised view of their weekly timetable right from their phones or laptops.
A single consolidated dashboard is essential. It has to let me:
• Create, edit, and archive classes and subjects
• Organise departments with ease
• Open or close time slots and watch the updates ripple through every user’s calendar
Beyond the timetable itself, I want quick reports that summarise faculty allocation and overall timetable distribution so I can spot bottlenecks early.
Scalability matters; design the architecture so we can plug in new faculties, campuses, or advanced analytics down the road without major rewrites. Clean code, mindful of future micro-services or modular expansion, will be a key review point.
Deliver the complete source code, a short setup guide, and a brief user manual. Once deployed, I’ll test by importing our current semester data and confirming that no clashes appear, each role sees only what it should, and live edits propagate instantly across all logged-in users.
