Modify Crystal Reports for Financial Comparison

I use Crystal Reports in conjunction with a software that creates monthly financial reports for my business. Each month’s data is stored in distinct Microsoft Access databases, which are organized in folders named by month and year. The database tables share consistent fields across all months.
Currently, the reports generated display the current month's financial data on the right side of the page. I need to enhance this setup so that these reports also include the previous month's figures, aligned next to the current month’s data for easy comparison. This functionality should work for multiple businesses, as I manage data for several each month.
I require code that can automatically detect the database for the preceding month, retrieve the relevant financial data, and incorporate it into the current report. The deliverable needs to ensure compatibility with my existing structure and provide a streamlined solution applicable to all businesses I handle.
