Crypto Researcher

Job ID: 34451130

Budget: $25 – $50 USD

$35 USD per hour
We need a person who has knowledge of: Crypto, Blockchain, Bridges, Smart Contracts and Wallets. The ideal candidate needs to have a very clear understanding how these crypto facets work together. We actually would be happy to work with someone who doesn’t necessarily have all this knowledge, we just don’t want to be billed in time for basic research that you should already know.

To be precise, our ideal candidate would be someone who can understand our research methodology, that being so that answers to our questions are packaged into a few paragraphs. The way we would work would be to ask a few questions, then you provide succinct answers. At this point, please don’t overdo it, we just want you to make a summary of what you have found. Give us some time, 2-24 hours to come back with further more detailed questions, and as such, the cycle repeats. We are expecting at least 10 of these cycles of questions and answers. We would expect you to have completed your research and short report within a 24 cycle, unless you explicitly request additional time. Only when we explicitly ask for an in depth answer, do we want you to increase the length of the answers.

Our ideal candidate will also ensure that answers relate directly to the question. We do not want to read through irrelevant information. Of course, we expect you to check with us if you do not understand the question as early on as possible.

Background

We have a patent for a system that allows us to store private keys securely on a P2P network.

* Our system (Halbit) is designed to be installed on a secure machine (not compromised)
* Our client has an exposed endpoint to their system which is also not compromised and secure but has network (IP) access to our system (Halbit), possibly by existing on a shared and locked down VPN.
* Halbit exposes a Web API interface through which our client uses HTTPS to make secure calls
* We want our client to modify some of their software so that sensitive private keys can be used to transfer, facilitate or operate crypto in various ways. In this way, our client can improve their security and make claims about their crypto’s safety and integrity.

Looking forward to having you on board!
