Comprehensive Restaurant Management System with Inventory, POS, Personnel Management, and Analytics Dashboard
Budget: €1,500 – €3,000 EUR
Project Description:
We are seeking an experienced developer to build a robust, all-in-one management system for our restaurant. The system should integrate key modules including inventory management, point-of-sale (POS), personnel management, and analytics. The goal is to streamline operations, detect and manage inventory loss, and provide a clear, visual dashboard for efficient tracking and decision-making. Each module should be detailed, reliable, and user-friendly, with real-time data updates.
Since there is already a cash management system (implented with javascript) that covers certain requirements mentioned above, it can be used to implement the missing functionalities.
Key Modules and Requirements:
1. Inventory Management and Loss Detection
Inventory Tracking: Track and log all inventory entries and exits. Include a user-friendly interface for inputting items received from suppliers and monitoring stock.
Loss Detection: Implement automated analysis to flag losses and irregularities. For example, items that go missing without proper removal documentation should be marked as loss.
Loss Analysis Reports: Provide monthly and yearly loss reports, highlighting products and areas with the highest losses.
Alert System: Send alerts via the dashboard and optionally SMS/email if losses exceed a set threshold.
2. Owner Dashboard
Visual Dashboard: A central dashboard with clear, real-time insights. Include bar and pie charts for stock movements, loss rates, and order volumes.
Key Metrics: Display essential metrics like current stock levels, historical order volumes (daily, weekly, monthly), and financial overviews.
Custom Views: Allow customized views and role-based access (e.g., warehouse staff, head chef, manager) for relevant information only.
3. POS Integration and Real-Time Inventory Adjustment
POS System: Integrate the POS to log all sales and reduce inventory in real time based on items sold.
Data Sync: Automatically adjust inventory when dishes are sold, deducting corresponding ingredients from stock.
4. Supplier Management and Price Comparison
Supplier Database: Store prices, terms, and contacts for all suppliers.
Price Comparison: Compare prices from up to five suppliers per product and provide notifications of price changes or new offers.
Purchase History: Keep a log of past orders to inform purchasing decisions.
5. Personnel Management and Payroll
Payroll System: Track salaries and advance payments. Allow payroll adjustments to be checked off after each payment.
Leave and Absence Management: Employees should be able to request leave within the system, with requests displayed on the manager’s dashboard for approval.
Employee Activity Logging: Track and log all employee activities and changes made within the system.
6. Reservation System for Guests and Hotel Staff
Guest Reservations: Allow guests to reserve tables online.
Hotel Staff Reservations with Commission: Provide hotel staff with the ability to book tables for guests. Track reservations and calculate a 10% referral commission for hotel staff.
7. Internal Communication and Chat
Internal Chat Function: Enable real-time communication among team members with message archiving.
8. Document Upload and Management
Document Upload: Allow documents to be uploaded in each section (e.g., invoices, delivery receipts, employee contracts).
Link to Profiles: Link documents like contracts or training certificates to individual employee profiles.
9. Reporting and Export Function
Automated Reports: Generate monthly and yearly reports for inventory, loss analysis, and purchasing. Include export options for PDF and CSV.
Trend Analysis: Provide seasonal trend analysis to identify patterns in inventory and loss.
10. Remote Access and Security
Web-Based and Mobile Access: Ensure the system is accessible remotely, including via a mobile app.
Security and Logging: Implement access controls to restrict sensitive data and log all actions for accountability.
Technical Requirements:
Web-Based System: The platform should be web-based and mobile-accessible.
Real-Time Data Sync: Ensure real-time data synchronization between the POS, inventory, and personnel modules.
Scalable and Modular: The system should be scalable, allowing additional features and modifications in the future.
API Integration: Allow for API integrations with existing systems, like payment processing or external POS if required.
