CRM Database Cleanup & Validation

I have an exported client list that I need ready for a smooth import into our CRM. Right now the file is riddled with incorrect data—particularly within the email addresses, account name and names columns—and I keep bumping into duplicates and stray characters that the system refuses to accept.

Your task is to go through the entire sheet, spot and fix every instance of bad or inconsistent information, and hand back a file the CRM will accept without errors. I expect:

• All duplicate records identified and merged or removed as appropriate. Use Linked or Google to verify place of employment for most current.
• Email, anccount and name fields standardised, stripped of invalid characters, and validated for correct formatting.
• A final, clean CSV (or XLSX if you prefer) plus a short summary of the fixes you applied.

I usually work in Excel, so either environment is fine. As long as the final dataset uploads into the CRM without a hiccup, we’re good.
