5-6 page research paper- The use of excessive force / deadly forces by law enforcement.
The use of force is inevitable in police work.In this research I will be discussing the use of deadly forces, escalation of forces (i.e the different levels leading up to the use of deadly forces), and abuse of authority. Also the constitutional requirements for using deadly forces and the prosecution of law enforcement officers who wrongly use excessive forces.
I will be using several examples and records of investigations involving police brutality and cases in which the law enforcement officers were prosecuted for irresponsible use of deadly force. I will also be talking about why some police officers are reluctant to use deadly forces
