Creo Functional 3D Prototype Design
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I have a set of detailed hand-drawn sketches for a new industrial product and now need them transformed into a fully parametric Creo model that can be sent straight to a 3-D printer. The end result must work as a functional prototype with moving parts, so clear assemblies, proper joint definitions and realistic print tolerances are essential.
You will start from my annotated sketches—dimensions, intended materials and motion directions are already marked—re-create them in Creo and refine the geometry so each component prints cleanly and snaps or screws together without post-processing headaches. I expect you to think like a mechanical engineer: check clearances, choose reasonable wall thicknesses, incorporate fillets where stress will concentrate and flag any manufacturability issues before we commit to a final STL.
Deliverables
• Native Creo files (parts and assembly)
• Print-ready STL and STEP exports, organised by component
• A brief PDF drawing set that calls out critical fits, tolerances and recommended fasteners or hardware
Acceptance criteria
• All articulated parts rotate/slide as intended when the assembly is driven in Creo
• No mesh errors on export; each STL slices without repairs in Cura or PrusaSlicer
• Dimensional accuracy on test prints stays within ±0.2 mm on mating features
