ad and 150 words paragraph /
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
A commodity is generally defined as anything (including objects, animal, people, etc.) that is bought and sold in the global economy.
Part 1: You need to design a visual advertisement on one commodity, preferably the same commodity you have chosen as the topic of your persuasive essay (if you want to choose another commodity, check with your instructor first). Your advertisement must either:
1. Inform and persuade your target audience, by using ethos, pathos and/or logos, to STOP BUYING this commodity, the demand for which results in negative impacts on humans, animals, and/or the environment;
Your advertisement must follow APA conventions for citations.
FORMAT: You may present your ad as a still image/print/billboard, a video, an infographic, a drawing on a bag, a pin, a T-shirt, or any form that uses space in a way to spread awareness. The objective of the advertisement is to persuade the general public to become more ethical consumers.
Part 2: You need to write a paragraph of about 150 words describing your ad. In your text you need to explain the intention of your ad (and provide a brief description of how you accomplished it), what rhetorical appeals you have used, who your target audience is, and why you think your ad is effective. You need to use at least one secondary source and cite it correctly in-text and in a Reference list.
