YouTube Production Assistant — Visual Asset Gathering (Strict Instructions)
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Read carefully before applying.
I run documentary-style YouTube channels and am looking for a Production Assistant to gather visuals only. This is a non-creative, execution-focused role. There is no interpretation or editorial input involved.
If you prefer creative freedom, this role is not a good fit.
Responsibilities
For each video, you will receive:
A finished narration script
A production chart listing exactly what visuals are required
Your responsibilities are to:
Locate the specified visuals only
Follow the production chart exactly
Organize files clearly and logically
Deliver assets in a clean, structured folder format
Scope of work
Approximately 20–30 visuals per video
Visuals may include:
Archival photographs
Historical paintings or illustrations
Public-domain images
Stock footage when specified
This is a clearly scoped task, not open-ended research
What this role does not include
No scriptwriting
No editing
No creative decision-making
No interpretation or improvisation
No alternative suggestions
Accuracy and instruction-following matter more than creativity.
Delivery requirements
Clear, consistent file naming
Visuals grouped by script section
Delivery via Google Drive or similar
No missing assets
No unnecessary extras
Time and availability
Approximately 1–2 hours per video
Deadlines provided in advance
Ongoing work available for reliable candidates
Paid test task
A short, paid test task is required to confirm instruction-following and organization. The test task reflects the exact type of work required for this role.
Ideal candidate
You are a good fit if you:
Follow instructions precisely
Pay attention to detail
Communicate clearly when something is unavailable
Deliver on time without reminders
Experience with YouTube, documentaries, or archival research is helpful but not required.
How to apply
In your message, include:
Confirmation that you understand this is a visual-only, non-creative role
Confirmation that you are comfortable following strict instructions
Your weekly availability
Applications that do not address all three points will be ignored.
Final note
This role prioritizes precision, consistency, and reliability.
If you are seeking creative input or flexible interpretation, this position is not suitable.
