Write Toddler Learning Board Book

I’m preparing a board book for children aged 0-3 that gently introduces the basic concepts of numbers, letters, and colors. The finished manuscript should feel playful, rhythmic, and age-appropriate, with clear repetition and simple language that encourages first-time learners to point, chant, and recall.

Scope
The story will run no more than 250–300 words total, laid out across 10–12 spreads. Each spread should focus on one concept—counting from one to five, primary colors, and the first five letters—using vivid, child-friendly imagery and plenty of opportunities for call-and-response or parent–child interaction. Think “blue ball bounces,” “three tiny turtles,” that sort of melodic phrasing.

Tone & Structure
• Warm, upbeat, and decidedly simple; every sentence must be easily read aloud in one breath.
• Consistent rhythmic pattern or light rhyme welcomed, but clarity comes first.
• Page turns need a tiny hook so toddlers remain engaged until the final spread.

Deliverables
• A Word or Google Doc manuscript ready for illustration, clearly separated by page/spread breaks.
• A short, one-sentence illustration note per spread (optional but helpful) indicating key visual elements.
• A brief back-of-book blurb (30 words max) to set the educational theme.

Acceptance Criteria
The text will be accepted when it:
1. Covers all target concepts (numbers 1-5, letters A-E, red/blue/yellow).
2. Stays within the word and spread limits.
3. Reads smoothly aloud without tongue-twisters or advanced vocabulary.
4. Provides at least one interactive prompt per spread (e.g., “Can you find the red dot?”).
