Write Toddler Animals Picture Book

I’d like a short, engaging picture book written for toddlers aged 1-3 that celebrates animals and the natural world. The story should be simple enough for very young listeners, built around rhythmic, read-aloud sentences and plenty of opportunities for playful sound words.

While I will hire an illustrator separately, I’m aiming for a manuscript that naturally invites a bright, cartoonish art style—think big shapes, bold colours and expressive animal faces. Please keep spreads in mind as you write; a gentle page-turn hook every few lines will help the visuals shine.

Target length: roughly 200–300 words total, broken into clear page spreads (e.g., “Page 1-2: text”). I’ll need:
• The full manuscript in Word or Google Doc format
• A short one-paragraph synopsis
• Any specific art notes you feel are essential (optional, but welcome)
