Write Adventure Picture Book
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m ready to bring an adventurous picture book to life for children aged 2–5 and I’m looking for someone who can turn a simple idea into a warm, read-aloud favourite. The language needs to stay playful, rhythmic and age-appropriate while still delivering a clear beginning-middle-end arc that keeps little listeners curious about what happens next.
Because this will be a picture book, I’d like each spread to leave room for lively, hand-drawn illustrations—think coloured pencil, water-colour or ink that feels organic and friendly. If illustration is also within your skill set, fantastic; if not, please provide detailed art notes so an illustrator can match the tone. Collaboration on pacing, page turns and visual cues is essential to make sure text and artwork work hand-in-hand.
Deliverables
• Complete manuscript tailored to 2–5 year-olds, adventure theme
• Page-by-page storyboard with illustration notes (or finished hand-drawn art, if you illustrate)
• Two rounds of revisions after initial draft to nail voice, flow and imagery
