Unique Ghostwriting Opportunity for Paranormal, Fantasy & Horror Writers

Job ID: 33928726

Budget: $100 – $250 USD

Summary Of The Job: I am launching a new series in 2023, with a new company. The series will consist of a set of 25k word novellas that encompass paranormal, fantasy and horror. Each addition will be a stand-alone, but cohesive theme. Romantic tropes are required, but not an integral plot point. A main selling-point is an attractive relationship between protagonist and antagonist, whether MM, MF, MMF, MFF, and beyond. Each story will contain one-to-two medium-heat sex scenes, depending on how they add to the plot, enriching it, not making up for lack thereof. Powerful imagery, alongside well-chosen wording (NO flowery prose, nor graphic detail, but an eloquent, enticing scene). A combination of the target genres stated before must be utilized effectively, but the level of each (paranormal, fantasy & horror) depends on freelancer, myself, and at the end of the day, whether it works or not.
Two of the books, for the time being, I will provide a fully realized, carefully plotted outline, accompanied by a World/Character reference guide. Others in the series, I will offer a brief summary of what I expect the story/plot to look like to emulate the feeling I seek. Obviously, this particular subsect, I will pay a little more.

The Client: I have 13 years’ experience in publishing, and a lifetime in business, management, sales, retail, real estate, legal, marketing, social media, graphic & digital arts. For this series, I know what I want. I have thought about this project for a long time, and I have great plans for it. I have been a ghostwriter for the past several years. I understand the struggles we face, the opportunities we get, but never can talk about, or claim in any fashion. The lost sleep, and the hidden tear you shed when you realize your creation is above your reach. As an author of many hats, who has worked in every sector of publishing, I completely understand the nuances a person feels during the process. As a reader, I know what I expect, the quality I demand for time and money spent.

The Freelancer: If you have a comprehensive understanding of careful plotting (3-act structure, beginning, middle, end), non-stop action pacing, interesting takes on familiar tropes, active-voice dialogue driven stories in my required genres, with explosive characters that leap off the page, (knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style is preferred) we need to talk. If you’re new, or established, published or not, but love the written word so much, you yearn to always be writing, you need to keep reading.

What Will Set This Apart From Any Ghostwriting Freelance Job You’ve Ever Taken:
1) Tight, Unrealistic Deadlines: These will NEVER happen.
2) NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreements): There will not be one for this series/project.
3) Contracts: There will be one, but the terms will greatly vary. The major part: I will require signing over of intellectual property rights, and copyrights, as most professional ghostwriting relationships require.
4) Pay: I have a working-pay-range in mind as a starting point to give you an idea, along with some additional options.
5) How To Impress Me, And Stand Out In A Crowd: Confidence, but not arrogance. A love of my chosen genres. I watch for the power behind those chosen paragraphs, encased in the subtle nuances of a someone who knows there worth and what to do with it.
6) How To Stay In The Slush Pile:
Form proposals that have been clearly copied and pasted. Lack of initiative, or gearing their query to related ends I didn’t ask for. I cherish people who listen to what I say, how I say it, and act accordingly.

I am still looking for possible interns, betas, editors, marketing, SEO and search engine masterminds, and artists. New and established authors alike. (Right now, I am only accepting fantasy, paranormal, horror and graphic novels that fall under these conditions, with or without romance or erotic content), I am also offering free promotional opportunities to the right people.
