Translate Kids’ Storybooks to Spanish
Budget: $10 – $30 AUD
I have a small collection of English children’s storybooks aimed at readers aged 4-7, and I want them to feel just as warm, playful, and easy to understand in Spanish. I’m looking for a native Spanish speaker who can deliver a clear, simplified translation while keeping every character’s personality and the gentle tone that makes early-reader books fun to read aloud.
Scope
• Translate several short manuscripts (each one is a standalone story, 600–1,200 words).
• Preserve rhythm, dialogue, and age-appropriate vocabulary without drifting into slang or complex constructions.
• Flag any cultural references or puns that may need a brief adaptation so nothing feels out of place for Spanish-speaking kids.
• Return the text in an editable format (Word or Google Docs) with English on one side and Spanish on the other for quick comparison.
Quality checkpoints
• Natural, child-friendly sentences that a first-grade reader can follow.
• Consistent character names and recurring phrases across the series.
• Zero machine-translation artifacts; I will spot-check for fluency.
Once the first story is approved, I’d like you to move on to the remaining files under the same style guidelines. If you love children’s literature and enjoy writing in plain, lively Spanish, this project should be a perfect fit.
