Translate French Short Stories
Budget: €8 – €30 EUR
I have a collection of short stories written in French that I want to share with an English-speaking audience. The texts are purely creative pieces—no technical jargon or business terminology—so the translation must capture the original tone, rhythm, and imagery without sounding literal or stiff in English.
What I’ll provide: the final French drafts in Word format, each story averaging 1,200–1,500 words.
What I need from you:
• A polished English version for every story, delivered in the same document layout so I can compare sections easily.
• Faithful rendering of voice, style, and cultural nuance; creative liberties are welcome when they strengthen clarity or flow.
• A brief translator’s note (a few sentences) pointing out any idioms or wordplays you adapted so I can review intent.
Acceptance criteria: the English text reads as natural, engaging short fiction with no untranslated fragments, obvious machine translation artifacts, or grammatical errors.
