Translate Fantasy Stories to Spanish

Job ID: 39812963

Budget: $8 – $15 AUD

I need a skilled literary translator to bring a small series of English-language fantasy storybooks to life for Spanish-speaking teenagers. The plots are classic quest adventures with straightforward prose and no culture-specific idioms, so the assignment is all about preserving the fast-moving, imaginative tone and making sure every spell, piece of dialogue, and cliff-hanger feels natural in Spanish.

You’ll work from the existing, neatly formatted Word manuscripts and return each book in the same layout—chapter breaks, italics, and headings exactly where teens expect them. I’m aiming for fluid, contemporary Spanish that steers clear of regional slang yet still sounds lively enough for a young audience.

Deliverables:
• A fully translated .docx (or .odt) for each book, mirroring original formatting
• A brief translator’s note per volume flagging any unavoidable wording changes
• Final text proof-read for grammar, punctuation, and consistency

The project is ready to start as soon as I select the right person. If you have experience translating YA or middle-grade fantasy, please share a sample—otherwise point me to any narrative work you’ve handled. I’m happy to answer word-count or scheduling questions once you reach out.
