Spanish Translation for Kids' Stories
Budget: $10 – $30 AUD
I have a collection of English children’s stories that need to be rendered into engaging, age-appropriate Spanish. The originals rely on simple wording, playful rhythm, and a warm, friendly tone that must feel just as natural to young Spanish-speaking readers.
Scope
• Translate each story with clear, child-friendly vocabulary and smooth sentence flow.
• Keep imaginative elements, character names, and any rhyme or repetition intact where possible; adapt only when it improves readability for kids.
• Flag cultural references or idioms that need a gentle tweak so the message lands comfortably in Spanish.
Deliverables
1. A fully translated Word document for each story, mirroring the source layout and paragraph breaks.
2. A brief translator’s note per story highlighting any significant cultural or linguistic adaptations.
3. One revision round after my review to polish phrasing or resolve clarification questions.
I’ll provide the English manuscripts (roughly 500–1,200 words each) once we start. If you have experience translating picture books or early-reader material, please mention previous titles or publishers you’ve worked with. Fluency, creativity, and a genuine feel for how children listen and learn will make your proposal stand out.
