Realistic Fiction Brothers Character Development
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m crafting a realistic-fiction story that revolves around three family brothers and I want them to feel as authentic and nuanced as the people we meet every day. I already have the plot outline; what I’m missing are fully realised characters who can carry the emotional weight of the narrative and keep readers invested from the first chapter to the last.
Here’s what I’m looking for: I have previous drawings from my first project
• A detailed dossier for each brother (3-4 pages apiece). This should cover backstory, personality traits, motivations, fears, strengths, flaws, and signature quirks.
• A clear growth arc that tracks how each brother changes scene-by-scene and how their relationship evolves under pressure.
• Sample dialogue snippets that highlight their distinct voices and show how they clash or bond in key moments.
• A one-page comparison sheet that summarises where they align, where they differ, and how those contrasts drive the story forward.
Acceptance criteria: The three brothers must feel credible within a contemporary setting, their choices should remain internally consistent, and their dynamic has to generate natural conflict and emotional payoff that dovetails with the plot beats I’ll share.
