Preschool Adventure Book Writer
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m bringing a light-hearted adventure story to life for children aged 3-5 and need a writer who can craft a playful, page-turning manuscript that fits a picture-book format. The finished tale should run roughly 500–700 words, laid out in clear spreads that build excitement, invite repetitive participation, and end with a satisfying, bedtime-friendly wrap-up.
Because the illustrations will be cartoon-like, please include concise art notes for each spread describing characters, action, mood, and setting so an illustrator can match your vision. If you also create artwork in that style, let me know—I’m open to bundling writing and illustration when the fit is right.
Deliverables
• Final manuscript (Word or Google Doc) broken into spreads
• Illustration brief tied to each page turn
• Optional: rough thumbnail sketches if you illustrate as well
Acceptance criteria
• Age-appropriate vocabulary and sentence length
• Strong beginning, clear conflict, gentle resolution, and a positive takeaway
• No more than 50 words per spread to leave visual space for images
