Character-Driven Narrative Enhancement
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
My 40-chapter English-language fantasy series is fully drafted, published on Webnovel and Amazon, and now needs the practiced eye of a Published English-Language Novelist to sharpen its narrative flow—specifically, the way my characters grow, react, and drive each scene forward.
Scope of work
The manuscript already has rich world-building, but some transitions feel abrupt and a few secondary arcs flatten halfway through the journey. I need clear, actionable feedback and targeted line-level revisions that:
• Deepen motivations and conflicts without altering established lore
• Smooth emotional beats so each chapter ends with the right resonance
• Strengthen dialogue, inner monologue, and POV consistency
Working style
I’ll share the Word file (or Scrivener project, if you prefer). Please return an annotated version using Track Changes plus a clean pass that reflects the approved edits. Brief margin notes explaining “why” behind key changes will help me maintain voice continuity.
Deliverables
1. Annotated manuscript (Track Changes)
2. Clean, revised manuscript
3. One-page summary outlining updated character arcs and any open questions
Acceptance criteria
Edits must retain my core plot points, integrate seamlessly with existing lore, and leave every main and supporting character with a clear, satisfying trajectory by the end of the series.
Timeline is flexible within reason, but I’d like to review your first round on the opening ten chapters within two weeks so we can calibrate style before you proceed to the rest. Let’s craft characters readers can’t forget.
