Adventure Storybooks for Amazon KDP
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I am putting together a small series of children’s adventure storybooks aimed at readers aged 6–8 and destined for Amazon KDP. Each book will pair a lively, imaginative narrative with bright, cartoonish artwork that keeps young eyes glued to the page and eager to turn the next one.
The manuscript should sit in the 900–1,200-word range, spread naturally across roughly 24–28 pages so every spread has a clear visual cue for the illustration. Language must remain age-appropriate, upbeat, and action-oriented, while subtle lessons about teamwork, courage, and curiosity flow through the plot.
Illustrations need to be full colour, highly expressive, and stylistically consistent from cover to final page. Think bold lines, playful proportions, and a palette that pops on both tablets and printed editions. Final art must be supplied as layered source files (PSD or AI) alongside print-ready PDFs laid out for a KDP-supported trim size with bleed and safe margins in place.
Deliverables
• Story script (edited, proof-read, and split by page)
• 24–28 interior illustrations + front & back cover in cartoonish style
• Print-ready PDF and EPUB files, CMYK/300 dpi, meeting current KDP specs
• Layered source files for every illustration
• Two revision rounds after initial submission
Acceptance criteria
• Text and imagery match page plan exactly
• No copyrighted or AI-generated assets without full rights transfer
• Files upload to KDP without trim/bleed warnings
With everything in hand I can handle ISBN assignment and final launch—your work simply needs to arrive press-ready and engaging enough to spark a child’s next adventure.
