The goal of this project is to craft a lively picture-book manuscript that keeps 7- to 9-year-olds turning pages. I already know I want an adventure at the heart of the story, packed with action, surprises, and an uplifting ending that leaves children eager to read it again. Your words will guide the illustrator, so each scene must spark clear, visual moments while flowing naturally when read aloud.
A concise structure—around 24–32 pages with fitting page turns—works best for this age group. Vivid yet age-appropriate language, a relatable main character, and a satisfying arc (setup, rising tension, climax, resolution) are essential. Please weave in dialogue and sensory details that invite illustration opportunities without dictating the art.

• Brief page-by-page illustration notes (one line max per spread)
• Character bios and setting summary for illustrator reference
• One round of revisions after my initial feedback
