• A complete manuscript of roughly 500–800 words, paced naturally across 24–32 pages, with simple scene-by-scene breaks so an illustrator can follow the flow.
• Brief art or layout notes only where they truly add clarity to the action.
• A lively, age-appropriate tone that balances tension, humor, and a satisfying resolution while keeping vocabulary within a second-grade reading level.
• Original work—no AI-generated or recycled plots.
